Calling all Giving Gators, it is time for our Glenwood Gives Back Walk-A-Thon

Grab your sneakers and come support our students as they walk to raise money for Bridges, a local non-profit organization based in Summit that helps combat homelessness and food insecurity in Northern NJ and New York City.  This event is a special Glenwood tradition that over the years has raised more than $200,000 for various nonprofit organizations. Parents are welcome and encouraged to attend.

This year’s goal is to raise $8,200.  A portion of the funds raised will be used to purchase supplies for bag lunches that 3rd and 4th graders will assemble for Bridges to distribute.  All students will decorate the bags with artwork and messages of hope.  The remainder of the funds will be given to Bridges to support their efforts. In 2024, our students packed over 1000 lunches and donated over $4000 thanks to your generous contributions.  We are excited to continue the tradition this year!

A Little Friendly Competition!  The classroom that raises the most money will win ice pops and extra recess!  

Online Donations will be collected via the 99 Pledges platform.  There will be a school wide site to track our school’s progress. In addition, each student will have an individual page to collect donations for the importance cause. On Monday 9/22 parents will receive an email with 2 links. One is the private parent access page that allows you to customize your child’s site- upload a photo, customize the message and set a personal fundraising goal. The other is the student’s page, which can be shared with friends and family. Donations are tax-deductible and receipt emails will have 501(c)3 information.

Participation via the 99 Pledges website is OPTIONAL. Note that security measures are set so that student pages are not able to be found by search engines.
