Glenwood families can join one of the two sessions led by Adam Baranker - a summer camp director & youth engagement co-ordinator. Adam promises a high energy, exciting event, filled with tons of laughs where everyone is a winner! Please note, due to limited space, this event is open to Glenwood students only.
	Ice Cream Registration is OPEN Registration: Click here to register. Sale End: Jan 17 @ 11.59pm Once again, the PTO will be serving delicious artisanal ice cream from A La Mode Ice Cream made with the freshest of ingredients and shipped directly from their manufacturing facility in NY. This session of Ice Cream Treat Thursdays will begin on February 6 and will run through June 12, each serving being a 3oz cup. All ice cream flavors are egg, nut and sesame free and the sorbet serving is egg, nut, sesame and dairy free and produced in a state-of-the-art nut-free facility. Please check the A La Mode website for more information on ingredients and nutritional information at https://alamodeshoppe.com/. Ice cream sales must be pre-ordered through the Glenwood PTO website. A variety of flavors will be available including pink sprinkles, vanilla and chocolate ice cream and fruit flavored sorbet. The total cost for the semester is $40. Sale ends January 17th at 11.59pm.
	Glenwood Birthday Book Club Registration: Click here to register Celebrate your child's birthday with a donation to the Glenwood library. Click here to register with a monetary donation of your choosing by January 31st. Our Glenwood librarians will use the funds to purchase new books for our library. Your child will come to the library on a special selection day and choose a book from the collection. A special book plate with your child's name will be placed in the book to identify the donation for years to come. Your child will be the first to check out his/her book and will have an opportunity to share it with their class and with you at home. Please note that this program runs only one time during the school year, regardless of when the birthday actually occurs. Book selection will take place in the spring.
	Second Semester Special Lunch Registration is OPEN Registration: Click here to register Second Semester Lunch will run from Monday, 2/3 through Wednesday, 6/18. As always, please be advised that the Glenwood Lunch Program cannot run without the help of volunteers. Class Dues to PTO Website

The class dues ($50/child for K-3^rd grade / $60/child for 4^th graders) are paid on the PTO website. Click here to pay class dues if you haven't already. Class dues are used for class socials, incidentals and teacher gifts etc. for your child's class only.

New York Times best selling author extraordinaire, Dan Gutman, will be virtually visiting Glenwood on January 28th for a high energy presentation to grades 3 & 4.

WE NEED VOLUNTEERS - FIND A SPOT HERE

	Lunch Volunteer Every family who utilizes our special lunch program should be volunteering for a lunch shift (11:10am - 1:10PM) at least one time a semester. You can sign up many weeks ahead to work around your schedule. Our lunch program is COMPLETELY volunteer-based and we cannot run it without the help of our parents. As a bonus, the kids love to see their parents at school! You can sign up for volunteer spots using this Sign-Up Genius Link, which is also available at registration, and pick the day that is convenient for you.
	Other Volunteer Opportunities Glenwood is a community school that relies heavily on volunteers to help enrich our students' education and their daily lives. Please consider signing up to volunteer for the 2024-2025 school year! If you are interested in getting involved, please reach out to info@glenwoodpto.net. We can NOT run these without your help. Thank you! These programs cannot be run without your participation!!
	Glenwood Green Team Initiatives The Glenwood Green Team is focused on reducing, reusing and recycling. Please support their efforts and have your children bring reusable water bottles and reusable utensils at lunchtime.
	Important Message from PTO We have been able to accommodate late orders and add-ons to registrations considering it is the beginning of the school year and everyone is just getting back into the swing of things, but please be advised that in the future we cannot extend sales and registrations past the initial deadline. It adds a significant amount of work for our volunteers and is unsustainable. Deadlines are communicated via the weekly Monday morning newsletter, additional eblasts and are posted on the Glenwood PTO homepage. AROUND TOWN INFORMATION

The Essex County Environmental Center is located at 621-B Eagle Rock Avenue in Roseland in Essex County West Essex Park and is a facility of the Essex County Parks System. Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm. Essex County West Essex Park is open to the public every day from dawn until dusk Pre-registration. is required for all programs unless otherwise noted. The Millburn Education Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to providing Millburn students access to innovative programs, new technology, and creative opportunities not available within the district's limited budget.

The MEF encourages private philanthropy to enhance public education for students at all levels by serving as a bridge between our community and the schools.

Help is Available for Families in Need

Down the Block's mission is to provide short-term financial assistance to residents of Millburn-Short Hills who are facing unexpected financial setbacks. When a Township resident needs help paying bills (rent, utility, insurance, etc.) due to unexpected financial stress or because of losses in a natural disaster, Down the Block can step in with short-term assistance -- provided that their eligibility requirements are met.
