GASA, Special Lunch, Field Day, Glenwood Global Gala, Class Parents, Library, Fall Family Picnic, Cultural Arts, Variety Show, Walk-a-thon….we could go on forever! These are just some of the programs the PTO runs, but none of these programs can be offered without your help. Two programs in particular that are still in need of Committee Chairs:
Strawberry Festival - The Strawberry festival is the PTO's largest fundraiser and the highlight for the school year. Our current Senior Chairs are looking for two Junior Chairs to shadow this year. The work during the year is minimal, requiring just a few meetings. There is a slight uptick in work as the event approaches. The Jr. Chairs will transisiotn into the Sr. Chair position the following year.

MMAC Red Ribbon Week - October 23 - 31
To celebrate Red Ribbon Week this year, MMAC is bringing Rich Specht and his program “Cultivate Kindness” to each elementary school. This program challenges students to look beyond themselves to see the effects their small acts of kindness can have on others. Mr. Specht is a former science teacher who combines his own personal story of overcoming incredible challenges with a unique scientific explanation of how the ability to change the world around us is something we can all achieve provided we have the right perspective.
Our students will see, first hand, how even the smallest acts of kindness can be life-changing. Mr. Specht will leave the students with a challenge to go out and make the world a better place, one act at a time. For more info on MMAC click HERE.
