Do your stretches and lace up your sneakers - Glenwood's annual walk-a-thon is this Wednesday. Students walk for approximately 30 minutes around the Glenwood back field. Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grades will start at 9:15; 3rd and 4th grades will start at 10:30.
Each year, Glenwood students walk to raise money for a charitable organization. Parents, families and friends can support their students by making a donation, which will all go to benefit the charity. The children gain an appreciation for the needs of others, as well as an understanding that they are capable of making a difference.
For 2018, we are excited to continue our partnership with Bridges, a local non-profit organization based in Summit that helps feed and support the homeless in and around Northern New Jersey and New York City. In addition to raising funds, our children will also take part in a hands on, brown bag lunch assembly project (at a later date). It's a great way to help others and support a local organization!

Our chess teacher will focus on theory, strategy and competition for all levels. Students of all chess abilities - new through experienced - are encouraged to sign up.

In the Fall of 2016, the Millburn school district embarked on an effort to update and clarify the management and treatment of life-threatening allergies within our schools. Included in these rules: no food, treats or goody bags may be served or distributed for classroom birthday celebrations; and, there are four school-designated days when food will be allowed during a classroom party. Please read the Allergy Management policy and regulation to become familiar with the ways we ensure a healthy and safe learning environment for students who have a medically documented anaphylactic allergy.
