NEW General PTO Meeting date - April 20th


Peter Mercurio, Principal of The Washington School will be our guest speaker at our next General PTO Meeting. Due to scheduling conflicts we need to move the meeting to Friday, April 20th at 9:00am.  Please be sure to join us and bring your questions.

Glenwood Read-a-thon - HAS BEGUN


The 2018 Glenwood Read-a-Thon will run from March 12 to March 30. This year’s theme is the LOVE of reading! Read-a-thon information packets will go home today in students' backpacks. More information HERE.

Gator Global Gala - Registration open now  


Please join us to celebrate the true diversity of our Glenwood community! For one night, we invite you and your family to share delicious foods from dozens of countries and learn about the cultures that make our school a truly global community.

The Food Tasting is in the Gym and MPR between 6:00 – 8:00 pm. Please note that you are not limited to the country of your heritage. Let us know if a country you would like to represent is not on the list, and we’ll add it.  Anyone in Glenwood's community is welcome to attend this family event!  No registration is needed to attend.  Click here for more information. 


Birthday Book ClubOPEN NOW 


Celebrate your child’s birthday with a donation to the Glenwood library. Make a monetary donation and then Glenwood librarians, Mrs. Hanston & Mrs. Shuster, will use the funds to purchase new books for the library. Your child will select one of those books, and a special bookplate with your child’s name will be placed in the book to identify the donation for years to come. Click HERE for details.

Variety Show PHOTO Sale  - Capture those great Performances!


Order your Variety Show pictures before it is too late! Amazing pictures taken by professional photographer, Tim Baker have been uploaded to Smug Mug for purchasing. They will be available until March 20th only!

Ed Foundation Coin Wars!  - bring in your loose change to support our schools! 


From February 28th until March 9th students can bring spare change to put in their grade’s bottle. The winning grade will be announced on March 16th.  All proceeds will be used to fund technology and programs for grades

Glenwood Gator-Aide - open now!


Let's show our amazing Glenwood teachers and staff how much we appreciate them by providing some "Gator­-Aide" and replenishing supplies, helping in or out of the classroom, or purchasing something for an upcoming lesson.  Gator­Aide is open until March 30th. Find out more HERE.

Yearbook Sale - OPEN NOW! 

Be sure to purchase your Glenwood 2018 Yearbook to remember your child's Glenwood days. The hardcover bound book contains over 100 pages of photos of your child and their friends, teachers & events throughout the 2017-18 school year. The Yearbook price is $35. Sale runs through April 6th on the Glenwood PTO website. 


Create a special message in the yearbook for your Glenwood graduating student or for your younger gator.  Half page ads at $25 are reserved for fourth graders only.  Eighth page ads for $10 or 3-line booster messages for $5 are available to all students.  You will create and submit your ad via the yearbook company's website.  Click HERE to get started.  Ads and messages must be submitted by Monday April 16th.


No Fuss Lunch - healthy, easy and flexible


No Fuss Lunch is offered on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Parents order directly through the NO FUSS LUNCH website. Lunch may be ordered daily, weekly or monthly. Orders can be placed or changed as late as midnight the night before and orders can also be cancelled up to 6am the day they are to be served. Click HERE for more details. Questions? ShopRite For My School is a program ShopRite has developed with the goal of contributing up to $1 million of much needed funds to local schools. BoxTop Clippings 

When you purchase Box Top products, please clip the coupons and send into school during our collections in October, February, and May. Glenwood earns $1.00 for every 10 Box Tops and the cash can be used to buy anything that is needed for the school

We Always Need Volunteers - Still looking to fill a few key roles…

The list of programs offered to our children at Glenwood is long! GASA, Special Lunch, Field Day, Glenwood Global Gala, Class Parents, Library, Fall Family Picnic, Cultural Arts, Variety Show, Walk-a-thon….we could go on forever! These are just some of the programs the PTO runs, but none of these programs can be offered without your help. Two programs in particular that are still in need of Committee Chairs:


    GRIT: The Power of a Growth Mindset

Cocktails and Converstations with the Ed Foundation

The Ed Foundation would like to thank Principal John Connolly and the four amazing MMS teachers who presented at "Cocktails & Conversation" on Thursday night. It was a fascinating glimpse into the innovative way our middle school students are experiencing their cycle classes. Before you know it your elementary school students will be headed there! Ed Foundation Grants to the Glenwood School

The Ed Foundation funded over $8,600 to Glenwood School in 2017, fulfilling grant applications by David Jasin for classroom sound field systems and Lori Princiotto for “Green STEAM” materials.

Our fundraising work continues so that in the future we will be able to grant an even greater percentage of applications. We look forward to your continued support in 2017-2018.
